The injury-ridden Boston Celtics sure gave it their best in these playoffs… unfortunately, they ran into, maybe the best set of offensive talent ever assembled on a team.
Yes, the Brooklyn Nets are a scary sight for any team to see in these playoffs. Led by James Harden’s terrific triple-double, 34 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, the Nets are looking nearly unstoppable.
Next up for the Nets may be their toughest test of the entire playoffs… the Milwaukee Bucks. Who you got? Bucks or Nets?
Tune in Saturday, June 5th for game 1, and don’t forget your popcorn.
- TRAIL BLAZERS 140
- NUGGETS 147
Can you say, the game of the night? That’s what you had with the Portland Trail Blazers vs the Denver Nuggets… scratch that. This was the game of the year (so far)!
The game went into double overtime, with plenty of suspense, even though the Nuggets held a 22 point lead at one point.
Why did the lead for the Nuggets go away? Two words: Damien Lillard. This man played out of his mind. He scored 55 points and dished out 10 assists.
But that wasn’t it. Lillard set the NBA playoff record with 12 made three pointers. Lillard’s been known to be clutch, especially in the playoffs, and he sure was in this game.
First, Lillard hit a game-tying 3 at the end of the fourth quarter… but he wasn’t done just yet. Lillard hit another game-tying 3 at the end of the overtime to send it to double overtime.
Lillard was simply amazing, yet, the Nuggets won and they have taken a 3-2 series lead with game 6 on Thursday, June 3rd.

Okay, let’s talk about it. This game was supposed to be the defining game of the year for LeBron James.
Without their star, Anthony Davis, you’d expect LeBron to be ready for whatever the Phoenix Suns throw his way…
Okay, now I’m going to let you into a little secret… LeBron James is human. He’s also 36. Father time is undefeated, that’s the saying.
LeBron and his Lakers started this game horribly. At halftime, down 30, LeBron had only 7 points on 3-10 shooting. Not good.
This doesn’t mean LeBron is done though. He’s still great, and one of the best ever. He very well could bounce back in game 6, but on this night, he surely looked old.
The Suns and their star, Devin Booker, certainly didn’t look old on this night. Okay, I know Booker isn’t old, to begin with, but he led his team with 22 points in the first half.
The only thing that got you out of your seat on this night, would be Chris Paul’s scary injury incident.
Paul, already dealing with a shoulder problem, took a hit in the back by Wesley Matthews. Paul went down, hopped back up, and ran to the sideline, screaming in pain as he held onto that bum shoulder.
Luckily for Suns fans, Paul came back into the game to shoot the free throws (he made them both), then smartly by the Suns, they fouled and took Paul out.
Let’s just hope Paul is healthy enough to play in game 6, which will be Thursday, June 3rd.
